Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Amalie AI collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Amalie AI mobile app and the website at https://petiht.com/learning.

Amalie AI is a music and language-learning product (songs, stories, translations, and learner chat). It is not the Petiht community app. Petiht has its own privacy policy at petiht.com/static/privacy.

1. Information we collect

When you create or use an Amalie AI account, we may collect:

  • Name, username, email address, and profile details you provide
  • Account identifiers used to sign you in
  • Learning activity, such as songs or stories you open, likes, language preferences, and translation requests
  • Messages you send in learner chat (including translations we generate for those messages)
  • Device and technical data needed to run the app (for example app version and crash diagnostics)

If you use the same login for both Amalie AI and Petiht, that shared account information may be used to authenticate you in both products.

2. How we use information

  • Create and secure your account
  • Provide songs, stories, Haitian Creole and French lyric/story translations, word study, and chat
  • Remember your learning preferences
  • Process optional paid features or subscriptions if you buy them
  • Prevent abuse, debug problems, and improve the product
  • Respond to support requests and meet legal obligations

3. AI translations and third-party processors

Amalie AI uses AI services to translate lyrics, stories, words, and chat. Text you submit for translation may be sent to those providers only to deliver the feature you asked for. Do not put sensitive personal information into prompts, lyrics, or chat.

4. Payments

If you buy credits or a membership, we may keep subscription status and purchase records. Card numbers are processed by Apple, Google, or other payment providers — Amalie AI does not store full payment card details.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with hosting, AI, payment, and security providers as needed to operate Amalie AI, or with authorities when the law requires it.

Learner chat is visible to other users in that chat. Do not share information you would not want others to see.

6. Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. We use reasonable safeguards; no system is perfectly secure.

7. Your choices

You may update profile information in the app, request access or correction, or delete your account from Settings. For privacy requests, email privacy@petiht.com and mention Amalie AI.

8. Children

Amalie AI is not directed to children under the minimum age required by law in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of law.

9. International processing

Information may be processed where our service providers operate. By using Amalie AI you understand that processing may occur outside your country.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
